How it works
A custom song — how it works, step by step
From one sentence to a finished song: what you tell us, what you choose, when you pay and what you receive. Everything worth knowing before you order.

Most orders begin with the same sentence: “I don't know if this is enough, but…”. Then come three lines about someone you love and a moment you don't want to forget. It is almost always enough. Here is what happens next.
1. You choose the occasion
Start from Order or go straight to the occasion's page — for mum, for the woman you love, for a child, in memory of a loved one and more. There you see the starting price and the usual delivery time.
If your occasion isn't listed — a colleague's birthday, a prom, “thinking of you” for no reason — the general order covers everything.
2. You tell us
This is the heart of the song. You don't need any writing talent — write the way you'd tell a friend over coffee. What helps us most:
- one specific moment — the trip where everything went wrong, the evening on the balcony, the first day in the new home;
- the little things — what they say when they worry, how they laugh, what they always carry in their bag;
- what you want them to hear — thank you, forgive me, I'm proud of you, I'm here.
The more personal, the better. We write songs to have lasting value, so names usually stay out of the lyrics — for a dedication with a name there's a separate intro (“This song is for…”).
3. You choose the sound
A genre and a mood — from a quiet ballad to something you can dance to — or “Leave to Paliva”. Vocals: female, male or a duet. If there's a song whose sound you love, mention it in “Music wishes”.
There are other ways too:
- With my own lyrics — you bring the words, we make the music;
- A personal intro to a Paliva song — a short dedication, spoken or sung, added to a song already on the site;
- A poem — instead of a song, written the same way, from your story.
4. We agree
The form is an inquiry. You pay nothing when you send it. We reply with a price and a delivery time, ask if anything is unclear, and start once everything is agreed.
5. We write and record
We write the lyrics and the music and send you a version for approval. One revision is included — if a line doesn't sound like “you”, tell us and we'll fix it. If the style doesn't match what you ordered at all, we make a new version until it does.
6. You give it
You receive the finished song. The usual delivery time is shown on the occasion's page; if you're in a hurry, choose an express order (when offered) or simply put the date in your order.
You don't need to know how the song will sound. It's enough to know who it's for.

Frequently asked questions
Do I pay when I send the form?
No. The form is an inquiry — we reply with a price and a delivery time, and only then do you decide.
What if I'm not good at writing?
It doesn't matter. Write as in a message to a friend — finding the words is our job. What matters is the memories, not the style.
Will there be a name in the song?
Names usually stay out of the lyrics so the song keeps its lasting value. For a dedication with a name you can ask for a separate intro.
Can I order a poem instead of a song?
Yes — choose “Poem” in the form. We write it the same way, from your story.
