A birthday gift that's remembered — a song instead of another thing
What to give someone who “has everything”? A song or a poem written for them — how they're made, who they suit and how to give them beautifully.

Every year it's the same. A week before the birthday you start thinking, then you put it off, then you stand in front of a shop window telling yourself: “Well, at least it's practical”. They say thank you, the gift goes into a cupboard, and a year later nobody remembers what it was.
A song is different. It doesn't wear out and it doesn't get worn. It gets played again and again — and every time it reminds them that someone sat down and thought only about them.
Who it suits
- Mum and dad — especially on round birthdays, when “thank you for everything” sounds too small. Read more about a song for mum and a song for dad.
- Your partner — when you want to say something that never quite comes out aloud.
- Your best friend — with all the jokes only the two of you get (for a friend).
- A child — a song to grow up with (for a child).
- Grandma and grandpa — for the jubilee, or simply because they're still here (for grandparents).
What to tell us
Imagine you're giving a birthday toast — only this time you have time to think. What would you say?
- a story you always tell when you're together;
- what has changed in them over the past year;
- how they've surprised you, made you laugh or stood by you;
- what you truly wish them — not just “health and happiness”.
Don't worry if it comes out messy. Turning memories into a song is our job.
How to give it
The song is the gift, but the moment you give it is half the magic. A few ideas that work:
- play it at the party without warning and watch the faces;
- send it in the morning so it's the first thing they hear that day;
- give it with a card that just says “Play me”;
- get the family together — a song ordered by everyone sounds different.
Timing
Birthdays have a habit of arriving suddenly. The usual delivery time is on each occasion's page; if the day is close, put the date in your order. When an express order is offered, you can choose it.
Good gifts get used. The best ones get remembered.
Frequently asked questions
Can the song be from several people?
Yes. Gather your stories and put them in one order — the song can come from the whole family or a group of friends.
What if the birthday is in a few days?
Put the date in your order — we'll tell you right away whether it's possible. When an express order is offered, you can choose it in the form.
A song or a poem?
A song is for listening and sharing; a poem is lovely for a card, a frame or reading aloud at the party.
