The Story Behind the Song
„Don't change“ is a song about staying true to yourself, even when the people around you expect you to be different. Sometimes the hardest thing is simply to remain yourself — true to your principles, direction, and beliefs.
Lyrics
All your life you've tried to prove your worth, seeking approval from those who don't deserve it. For all the wrong people, you break down inside, losing your peace just to keep them satisfied.
They say that modesty makes a person shine. Is that just an old saying left behind?
Being shameless is the way to progress. That's the new phase.
It's hard to stay good in a world like this, sometimes it feels like a weight you can't dismiss. You're always on time, you always keep your word, no excuses, no backing away.
And then it hurts. And then it burns. That you're always on time in a world so twisted and unkind.
But remember this.
Don't change. Never trade who you are for anyone in this life.
Don't change. Stay true to what you believe in! Don't give up, you're strong and self-assured.
Don't change. Ohhh-Ohhh... Don't change.
Work on yourself, keep reaching high, follow your own path, keep aiming for the sky.
You don't need everyone to understand, you don't need everyone to accept who you are. Sometimes all you need is to stay true to the person deep inside. If you lose who you are, what will be left of you?
Don't change, you're one of a kind, in a world where being different is hard to find.
Don't change, even when it weighs you down. Aren't you tired of all the lies and games around?
All the games... All the lies... Don't change...
Don't change! Never trade who you are for anyone in this life!
Don't change. Stay true to what you believe in! Don't give up, you're strong and confident within.
Don't change... Don't change...
Don't change the path you're on. Follow your own dreams, keep moving forward, stay strong.
Just be yourself... Don't change...
Don't change...
