A song in memory of a loved one
When words aren't enough, a song or a poem can keep the memory. How to tell us about the person, which sound to choose and how to order for a memorial or an anniversary.

There's a particular moment after a loss. People have gone home, the flowers have been put away, and you stand in the kitchen looking at their cup — still in the same place. You want to say something. Only there's no one to say it to, and the words won't come.
A memorial song isn't meant to replace grief. It's a place where memories can live — and where you can return when you miss them.
When people order such a song
- for a memorial service or the anniversary of a loss;
- for a family gathering where everyone remembers together;
- as a personal farewell — just for you;
- as a gift for someone who is grieving — a parent, a friend, a child. If you want to support someone through a hard time, see also a song of support.
What to tell us
Write calmly and as much as you can. There's no right way and no “enough”.
- who they were — their character, their habits, the words they said every day;
- one memory that keeps coming back — an ordinary day, a holiday, a place;
- what you didn't get to say — thank you, forgive me, I love you;
- what remains — a smile, a lesson, a way of doing things.
If writing is hard, tell us briefly and leave the rest to us. We write with respect and care — without needless pathos and without words that aren't yours.
Does it have to be sad?
Not necessarily. Some families want a quiet ballad. Others want a bright song that celebrates a life, because “he wouldn't want us to cry”. Choose the mood you feel, or “Leave to Paliva”. In “Music wishes” you can mention an instrument or a song the person loved.
Sometimes a poem fits better — for a quiet ceremony, a card or a photo album.
Important dates
If the song is for a memorial or an anniversary, put the date in your order. We'll tell you right away whether the timing is possible; when an express order is offered, you can choose it.
Memories don't fade when we sing them.
